I know it has been several months since this posting but I am having the same problem, however I can not find this advanced area referenced here, can anyone give me a hand with this? Thanks.
hit advanced and go down to the objectClass values, add attribute select posixGroup. That will give you the extra attributes you need.
you mean that bit? Right click in the idm-console on an object, and the memu will have both a properties and advanced properties option. Alternatively, double click on the object, and there's a big Advanced button at the bottom of the window that pops up.
No, that didn't work, when I right click on an object it says edit or delete. When I edit it there is no advanced button (they must have removed it from the version I'm running: 8.1)
For future reference though, I did find it by opening the Directory Server window from the console, going to the Directory tab, then to the LDAP base I created during setup. In here I found the group I had created, right clicked on the group and clicked on advanced properties. I then clicked on object class, then click add value, selected posixGroup, then a gidnumber field gets added to the attribute list where you can enter the proper value.
Not hidden at all but now that I found it everything is working fine.
