Question Gnome "Desktop" Mapping

Hey - on my Fedora 3 and 4 boxes, the default mapping for the GNOME desktop is ~/Desktop - is there a way to change it to ~/.Desktop, some config file that i'm unaware of? Thanks for whatever help you can offer,
