celeron cpu


Do u know if a celeron processor have a MATH coprocessor? I am asking because today i observed that this funcionality is disabled for my suse 8.2 . So , i am trying to find out why.
My processor is celeron 2000

celeron does in fact have the math coproc on it. Your SuSE box is turning off emulation of the coproc. Basically, if you don't have one, (some 486s dont, and before that few chips did) if you don't have one, Suse will emulate it.

No worries on it, it's all normal.

Nope, only enable it if you need to emulate the math coprocessor. Since you've got a physical math coprocessor on the celeron chip, you don't need to emulate it.
