celeron


does anyone know if fedora core 2 runs on celeron processors and if it (generally) works with onboard graphics and sound cards.

I dont have the details of the chipsets

Celeron-based systems generally run pretty well, but it all depends on the motherboard's chipset and what other devices you have. Onboard sound on Intel-based motherboards is usually supported by the Alsa snd-intel8x0 driver, but again - it all depends on the chipset. Graphics usually work, but you may run into problems with hardware acceleration (required for most 3D gaming).

Give it a try, or Google for the make and model of the computer - www.google.com/linux is a good start.
