bug reporting

What files do I probably need the output from in order to most helpfully report bugs (or errors, for that matter) here? Does it depend entirely on the suspected bug, meaning I can't know in advance what to look for?

well the only bugs you should report *here* are bugs with the behavior of this website. There's no point reporting software bugs here at all, we don't write those applications.

That's true, but I haven't figured out how to use the bug report forum on mepislovers.org yet. It keeps saying I don't have permission to post there, so I thought posting here was the next best thing.
