Avifile -- HELP

I'm installing avifile, i configured and then typed make -j2 install

a minute later(during build) this error came up:

mkdir .libs
rm -fr .libs/libavcodeci386.la .libs/libavcodeci386.* .libs/libavcodeci386.*
(cd . && ln -s cputest.lo cputest.lo)
(cd . && ln -s dsputil_mmx.lo dsputil_mmx.lo)
(cd . && ln -s fdct_mmx.lo fdct_mmx.lo)
(cd . && ln -s idct_mmx.lo idct_mmx.lo)
(cd . && ln -s idct_mmx.lo idct_mmx.lo)
ln: `idct_mmx.lo': File exists
make[3]: *** [libavcodeci386.la] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/root/avifile0.7-0.7.22/ffmpeg/libavcodec/i386'
make[2]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/root/avifile0.7-0.7.22/ffmpeg/libavcodec'
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/avifile0.7-0.7.22/ffmpeg'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

Does anyone know if its finished with the make install process or just quit because of the errors, and if so do you know why the errors occured?

Thanks alot!

What happens if you do "make" followed by "make install"?

This happens when I do make install (10 secs into install):

rm -fr .libs/libavcodeci386.la .libs/libavcodeci386.* .libs/libavcodeci386.*
(cd . && ln -s cputest.lo cputest.lo)
ln: `cputest.lo': File exists
make[3]: *** [libavcodeci386.la] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/root/avifile0.7-0.7.22/ffmpeg/libavcodec/i386'
make[2]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/root/avifile0.7-0.7.22/ffmpeg/libavcodec'
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/avifile0.7-0.7.22/ffmpeg'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

I remember having a few problems with 0.7.22, it installed ok but kept segfaulting on me so I downgraded to .0.7.15 and all is well again, you might want to give that a try.
