Help me! My fps is trash! Steam + winex + GForce + MDK 10

Ok, I am realy realy pissed off at my GeForce and CS, I used to use my Radeon 9600 which did ok for a while but it had mad drops from 80 to about 13. So i put my old GeForce 2 MX 400 64mb in, it was great, not windows great, but it was playable, about 35-55 fps and sometimes to 70 or 80 in small rooms, in lagless games with few ppl in them. Now I just bought a GeForce 5200 non Ultra 128Mb, and now I cant get past f***ing 60fps, it just hits around 63 max and it starts to drop afterwards, tho that may not be bad for any one but i get AVERAGE 35-55, which is sooooo shitty for a graphics card that kills a GeForce2. I changed my video ram to 16mbs, (this is what I read from I think it was MOOF in transgaming, and it realy works in cs 1.5 i got from only 30fps to 50-80 with my G2) turned VSYNC off, added the Renice Winex script, nvopengl.dll from linux-gamers.net, low polly gon models, changed BPP from 24 bit to 16 bit (same in cs 32bit to 16bit) I stoped sound, turned weather off, etc etc, so far im am SOOOOOOO OUT OF DAMN IDEAS, WHY CANT I GET WHAT I PAYED FOR??!?!!!!!? Someone help, Im running Mandrake 10 2.6.3-mdk kernel, Nvidia 5336 drivers, WineX 3.3.2, window maker, GeForce FX 5200, Celeron 2.0Ghz, 512 Mbs of 3200 ram, and my GLXGEARS fps is 2100fps with 16 bit color 1300 with 32bit.

Here is my XF86Config-4 file

umm.. well the upgrade to a 5200 fx isnt really an upgrade. that card is really bad.. if u can refund it, take that money, save up some more and get a fx 5900xt for only $175 on newegg. i almost made the mistake of buying the 5200, and looked around, asked around and such.

Try a 5700 Ultra, theyre pretty sweet.

ps: to John: Doesnt the XT extenstion on the 5900 mean lighter version? I read that in a review, nVidia is making the XT a lite version. Still, that card is bound to be pretty powerful.

definitely, thats why the card is so cheap. its a crappier version of the original 5900, but u can easily match its speed by overclocking.

Overclocking it with what? Im looking to do that, but NVclock doesnt support the GeForce FX yet, and the version it does (CVS) gives me a compilation error.
