Hi everyone

I installed Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 (demo version) using WineX in Mandrake 10.0.

I worked through most of the issues, but I only get about ONE frame per second!! any ideas?

Hardware is: PIII 550 CPU, 128MB RAM, NVidea TNT2 32MB graphics card.

I have the nvidea drivers installed (and openGL games like tux racer work very nicely). Tony Hawks pro skater 3 demo works very nicely in windows (probably about 20-30 FPS i guess).

Why does it only give me 1 FPS in linux under winex??? and how can I fix it?

I have tryed installing it both in a fake windows partition and on my real windows partition, both to the same result.

I suggest trying Wine instead of WineX

Just a warning, I seem to remember reading that you can't have installed WineX and Wine at the same time, since they interfear with each other *apparantly*, you're best of uninstalling WineX first if you want to install Wine :)

I uninstalled WineX before installing Wine

But still, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 demo gives me slow frame rates: about 0.5 FPS this time using Wine!

Your cpu isnt fast enough. At least 1ghz is required to run that game at any decent speed. Is the nvidia card a geforce or something like a tnt2. You need at least a geforce 2. And you need at least 256mb of ram.

I still play thps3 on windows from time to time. Never tried it on wine.
