SuSE Linux with Vmware Workstation4

Hello. I am trying to install SuSE Linux on Vmware Workstation4.

When I read documentation of Vmware Workstation4, it says that

Vmware Workstation4 does not support SuSE Linux 8.2, but

it supports other early versions of SuSE Linux.

Does anyone successfully installed SuSE Linux 8.2 on Vmware

Workstation4? If you did, was there any problems while you are

running SuSE Linux 8.2 on Vmware Workstation4?

err the clue is in the documentation - if it says it doesn't support it then it doesn't support it

Actually, it does not say that Vmware Workstation4 does not

supports SuSE Linux 8.2. Just thing is that SuSE Linux 8.2 is not

in the list of supported Guest OS. I think it might work, but it

might not. So, If anyone successfully installed SuSE 8.2 on

Vmware Workstation4, and there were no runtime errors, please

reply to this thread (not like the above answer...).

I know this is not the answer that you are looking for but why on earth don't you just try to install and see what happens?

Hey man... I think I never asked you to install SuSE 8.2 on

Vmware Workstation4. I just want to make sure it works before I

waste my time downloading SuSE 8.2, or waste my money on this

version. OK???

well...oooh...errr! Angry or what? Nobody told us that you didn't have a copy of SuSE 8.2 - I certainly didn't realise that you were asking hypothetical questions i.e. "if I happened to have SuSE 8.2, what would happen if....?" Gosh! I do apologise. Sorry darkskull. Could I ask where you are going to download SuSE 8.2 from? I would certainly be interested to know. So ... Hey darkskull...you certainly didn't ask me to install SuSE 8.2 on VMWare Workstation 4. Gosh! Apologies to you!
