I have a box running Windows 2003 Server. I wanted to mess with Linux and see how I like it before dedicating the whole box to Linux..
I have it installed on VMWare 4.5.2 Workstation.
I wanted to install the VMWare tools to increase performance and I reach a point in the installation where it is asking where the c header files are located.
I supplied the /urs/include/ directory and it refused the location.
What are the names of those files. I can look for them and then supply the correct address. Or if there's an easier way to find the default c header file library used by the kernel then it'd make my life much easier.

I think your first problem is the version of VMWare you are using.
4.5.x doesn't support Suse 9.2 onward as a guest system. I've tried and failed on that.
You'll have more luck with 5.0.0.
Suse 9.2 and even 9.3 will run in it, even if 9.3 isn't officially supported yet as the two are very similar.
I found the upgrade well worth while, even when my main purpose is for the few times I run Windows.
Download a free trial of VMWare 5.0.0 to test this.

Originally posted by TheOther1 VMware 5 (5.0.0. build 13124) does support SuSE 9.3 as a guest OS. I bought SuSE 9.3 yesterday and installed in a VM and it works just fine.
As I said Suse 9.3 runs fine in VMWare 5, but is not officially supported.
Check here for list.
You may find some new features dont work as expected, but having said that, I've yet to find them.
