How to install Vmware tools in Suse Linux 9.0?

Hi all,

When i tried to install the Vmware tools in text mode (in root), it keeps prompting that the /media/cdrom is not a block device.. this is what i typed:

mount /media/cdrom /mnt

What is wrong here?
