Jobs at Linspire

I recently found out that Linspire is based out of San Diego, CA. Has anyone worked for them? I am interested in applying and wanted to see some LQ user's opinions.

Don't know if they are hiring people at Linspire but you could send an email to Kendall Dawson (The Community Liayson for Linspire) at Kendall@linspireinc.com and ask about it.

ME-MYSELF-I - why would they need to look at your sig? Try to post on-topic please.

i looked and seen that last line and agree completely
"refusing to look at reality"

you have to do that to use linspire with all the disadvantages it has.... especially concerning the non-compliance with the GPL that is supposedly now all cleared up but I still havent seen a source cd....

i just wanted to point out that I was helping and posting on topic and someone from the linspire d crowd attacked me first.... later they will deny that as well....

Well I know they offer downloads of ALL their sourcecode (except for the NON-GPLd stuff like CNR).
I don't know about CD's you can have them ship to you, but they were working on this. but I guess it would be DVD's since I remember downloading 2DVD ISO's once with the entire sourcecode for Linspire 5.0 and the stuff in CNR (but I can be wrong about that cnr stuff).

as has been stated many places and many times Opinions are a dime a dozen.
jobs they do have posted on occasion.
I use linspire and I like it . I'm not a big gamer, don't run money accounts on it , not a big music person .
photos I just take an d store until I think I want them.
e-mail works great for me.
I don't demand a lot from my OS
even with the little that I expect of it I'm still a lifetime insider.

I'm hopping I'm not the one you considered as jumping on ya.

Are you basing that opinion on anything factual, or is it like your other opinions?

Since Microsoft just paid more than $22M to Linspire, my view is that they are better funded than almost every other distro except Red Hat. And that's a fact.

You do seem to be having difficulties that most other users don't.

I have on my desktop as I'm writing this, the complete source for the Linspire distro - downloaded last week off their site. Anyone can download it, as the GPL requires.

There never was any Linspire non-compliance with the GPL. Jake, do you have some information otherwise, or is this another of your fictional opinions?

uh ever heard of novell... you know suse...
mandrake.... etc...
If that is a fact then you ahev the financial documents to prove it correct? So linspire finally became profitable, when did that happen?

so you think patrick of slack isnt well funded? thats because he doesnt need it.... 20million, what is that about 6months operating costs?

WHY don't you just request the CD yourself ?
that way you can provide them with your shipping adress

just send a mail to kendall@linspireinc.com and he'll forward the request to the correct person.

Oh, and I don't think ANY outsider has access to their financial information so I doubt anybody here is gonna be able to give the true facts on it.
