I don't care. I've seen that link way too often and I really don't get the point of half your replies, its like you just keep repeating yourself so stop it. And learn to use our spell checker, all of your typo's most likely doesn't convince anyone to take you seriously.

And I've also asked for this thread title to be changed. It has nothing to do with Linux vs. Longhorn, rather your long rant and spill of the new features of Longhorn I'm sure 99% of the members here don't care about anyways. Remember, your on a Linux forum, preaching Microsoft features to Linux users doesn't go very far, especially with your grammar and spelling mistakes, your only making most of them laugh at you.

And links to screenshots doesn't tell anyone anything. 95% of the machines I deal with don't even have a GUI, at home or work. Showing pretty pictures of a new OS is pointless and doesn't prove anything, especially on a Linux forum.

Regards.

Yeah, but someone needs to show them how to make it easy...

You know when I first used multiple desktops (well, at least switchable desktops)? Windows 3.1 with PCTools.
Next was slack 3 and fvwm...

And after all this time MS still can't do it right...

Sheesh.

You are such a noob...

man this x32, guy sounds like an asshole.

Well Linux still outweighs any windows os, I mean look back at win 98 and 2000 those themes were just plain ugly, where you got from linux your nice colourful KDE/GTK Themes.

Sure, I have it set up on the XP I have here, but I had to use the nvidia tools to do it in an easily useable way...
Could you expand on that? One of the things I hate most about my work PC is the lack of multiple desktops on XP. . .

Yeah, it's the only way I can use XP... I have nvidia cards and the nvidia driver has a multiple desktop setup in nview... It takes a while to get the setup right, and I can hardly remember HOW to do it, and my son did his a LOT better with little icons in his task bar... I use the nvidia switching bar along the top of the screen but have it 50% transparent so it doesn't stand out so bad...

XP has a build in desktop switching tool, but it's a dog to use... With the nvidia switch bar it's a lot more like linux... and it has a window shader (reduce window to just the title bar) too, which is cool...

lh has multiple desktops but
"we must stop operating in a fragmented mannor" ie ghost windows are used insted by defalt
dont like them

right click on a blank area of the desktop click desktop properties
type in a number of virtual desktops
os select a number

when ur finished select layers off to have all the 2d fun you want

however turn it on and
say you have 2 vr desktops
scroll in once
the "camra" flys in through the scene "3d wallpaper" and you arive at your new vr desktop

Like any good zealot one has to go where
opposition will be strongest ... personally I think
this whole rant is as bad as any other religious
thread/spam ;)

You fucking idiot, they are themes not the real thing, and the builds? They are using a basic enhanced xp kernel. What a dumbass.

Dont take enhanced the wrong way, basically two more lines of code.
