Here's a great band that should've gotten far wider recognition but was all but killed (certainly dismissed) by way too heavy rotation of the album's poppier tunes on commercial radio. The deeper cuts are both poetically written and masterfully performed both in studio and Live. Here's one
I enjoyed the comment on the Tyrannosaurus Chicken video I posted where a guy said "I asked him if he had a pocket knife..... and he DID!". That's a pretty good "country boy" test but any real denizen knows pocket knives are impractical. A serious country boy needs a Buck knife in a sheath worn "upside down" on one's belt.
(A little melancholically) Thinking of constructive knowledge passed by, that makes our souls grow...
