Some of those “audition videos” on YouTube.

It is one of the advantages of not having a TV-set that I can concentrate on the great performances. When I was younger in the 1980s I lamented the “loss of music”, as none of “my music” would be played on the radio and my friends were all into the terrible commercial stuff that was around, then...

But having these great cover versions of Led Zeppelin, Hendrix (look out for the violoncello version of Purple Haze), The Rolling Stones... even Lynyrd Skynyrd is just fantastic.

I did not want to join a dancing-course when everybody went there. ”You do not want to dance Rock'n Roll, once you are 60, will you?” - WELL OF COURSE I WILL! Darn.

Right now, it's a Polish band doing “The Doors”. Jim Morrison definitely missed that one.

The Nice - Diary Of an Empty Day

During the hour when I did the dishes, there was some Whitesnake, The McCalmans (Nick Keir), Elkie Brooks, The Catfish (with Hugh Pool), Liz Meyer & Marc Cosgrove, BS&T ... and a few songs by Jean Ferrat.

Cool

Small world, I was doing dishes 1/2 an hour ago and played on loop Prelude No 1 by Bach
http://www.violinonline.com/unit2_7_prelude.html
http://www.violinonline.com/sound/un...relude_Vln.mp3
learning...

after about 5 or 6 times I turned loop off and now backtracking in Quod Libet player to list some:

I know this is terribly cliche but it is that for a reason so hopefully it is a spirit lifter for you too.
