Yeah, and I think the GNOME dependencies are only new with the release of Xfce 4.8.

Of course I noticed man, I use fedora on all of my machines besides my firewalls. Speaking of which, how stable is it?

Yes, but I was asking everyone else if they saw it. I saw your post before I posted Post 1728.

Can I ask again how stable it is? So far from what I read and seen in screenshots like yours, I like what I see.

Well, GNOME Shell sure is fairly stable. Most of the bugs are with the build process, but they only occur when you build GNOME Shell from source. Otherwise, there are zero bugs.

Why is it so important to you to be sure that EVERYONE sees what you post? Even such non-important things like a few screenshots?

I dealt with plenty of GNOME dependencies with 4.6, but I was also using some pieces of software developed for GNOME. Probably apt/Debian's fault. I hear gnome-core is getting huge...

Yeah, both Gnome and KDE have become way too fat for my liking, so I don't use either one any more. If I have to install a desktop environment then Xfce does just fine, otherwise a good old window manager is still preferred.
I understand that more functionality at some point has to come at a cost performance-wise...but since both Gnome and KDE have more functionality than I never use, they aren't that...useful to me :P Kind of ironic, right?
