That sounds like me... Been using Linux since the 1990's but never really took the time to learn it as well as I know DOS and WIndows! I install linux, and say wow! This is cool (and linux really is cool, you have to admit that) then I break something in and if it is to hard to fix, I just delete the whole linux partition and go back to windows!
I don't know why... It's hard to break linux to point where it don't work any more but it has happened to me! Yet, I hit one problem, I'm ready to delete and try another distro.
It takes me so long to read about them all and pick one! But I decided my next one will be ubuntu.
I would post a screenshot link but I'm just using XP... You guys already know what that looks like, right?

Retail (boxed version, includes heatsink and fan) AMD 64-bit Sempron 3000+ CPU was $50. The ASRock mobo with integrated nvidia 6100 video was $50. Seagate 400GB SATA hard disk was a special deal on Frys.com for $100. Plextor dual layer SATA burner was another $150 -- I overpaid for that part, but it had to be silver colored to match my case Total cost = $350
I reused a mini-ATX case w/ power supply, stick of DDR400 memory, keyboard, mouse, and an LCD monitor. So that helped keep the cost down too.
Edit: This is just after I finally got around to getting the new version of wine which no longer requires a patch for me to play World of Warcraft, so I installed WoW and the Steam Version of Half Life, both of which work perfectly, so I figured I'd take a screenie.

Yes do tell, I've found very few complete icon themes to use. A lot of them have one or two cool system icons and nothing else, or they look really crappy. I've been looking for a good glass icons theme for a long time.
