June 9th huh? Kinda old news(maybe...just a little bit). Any way, sounds like it's gonna have some form of emulator for linux. Because apparently it will also be able to run windows, as well as Mac OS. Wouldn't this slow down linux substantially?

and the obligatory..."Image a beowulf cluster of these things"

granted, but from the article, it said Linux, Windows, and Mac OS would all be running on top of what was called Cell OS.

Linux still kicks ass under an emulator. If ps3 can get windows xp to run acceptably under an emulator(which doesn't run fast at all under an emu) under an architecture it was'nt designed for in the first place; Linux (expandable, open source, multi-arch)Linux should work just fine.

You people have no faith, it seems.
