I have configured the NagiOS Server on RHEL 5 and its running fine now I want to monitor remote linux host which is in same LAN. I have follow below link to monitor the remote linux host.

Nagios.log file contain following entry.

[1251897672] SERVICE ALERT: MailServer;Swap Usage;CRITICAL;SOFT;3;NRPE: Command 'check_local_swap' not defined
[1251897692] SERVICE ALERT: MailServer;SSH;CRITICAL;HARD;4;NRPE: Command 'check_ssh' not defined
[1251897712] SERVICE ALERT: MailServer;Total Processes;CRITICAL;SOFT;3;NRPE: Command 'check_local_procs' not defined
[1251897732] SERVICE ALERT: MailServer;Swap Usage;CRITICAL;HARD;4;NRPE: Command 'check_local_swap' not defined
[1251897732] SERVICE NOTIFICATION: nagiosadmin;MailServer;Swap Usage;CRITICAL;notify-service-by-email;NRPE: Command check_local_swap not defined
[1251897772] SERVICE ALERT: MailServer;Total Processes;CRITICAL;HARD;4;NRPE: Command 'check_local_procs' not defined
[1251897772] SERVICE NOTIFICATION: nagiosadmin;MailServer;Total Processes;CRITICAL;notify-service-by-email;NRPE: Command check_local_procs not defined

The "Command check_something not defined" means the "check_something" command couldn't be found. Did you try running the command you entered in nrpe.cfg locally on the host to confirm it works?

I can't as I don't see your config but the commands are in your nagios.log, the check_* items, and they reside where you installed the plugins. Please note this isn't a problem with GNU/Linux being difficult to master or Nagios being "the wrong tool for the right job": it just takes time to understand how Nagios works. Reading the documentation and experimenting with things will help.

Where the check_* items are supposed to run to be able to check for things. In this case on the remote monitored host.
