Don't live in a major suburban/city area. My money is tied up with social security monthly checks and what I scrape together fixing other peoples motorcycles. Magazine subscriptions is not a disposable income expenditure I wish to delve into. Not a priority for me.
But if it trips your trigger. More power to you. My laptop and shop desktop is my parts catalog, repair manual repository, magazine, comic book, book, repository. Media Center with radio streaming stations and streaming videos.
It is just easier and cheaper for me that way hazel. I spent a lot of time teaching myself how to do this modern kids stuff. Might as well apply it.
Edit: besides, aint it all about sharing?

I stopped reading New Scientists when it turned into Politics Today. I do see the need for social sciences and the political aspects of science being discussed but I really don't have time to get into anything where the only thing I'll learn is "Some people don't like this".
Still, at least we have these magazines unlike, to go back on topic, North Korea with their murdering little maggot deciding all policy.
this is worth a look.
if i knew some korean... in the end, what i can see is just tourist information.
it is something i have seen in my youth, when the "eastern block" countries still existed.
only now translated to the internet.
I would imagine it would work on the national intranet - Kwangmyong. Universities do not have full access to the internet though if some documentaries are accurate they have a weird 'vetting' system where they might be able to request access to certain internet sites.
Iran also is possibly going to follow DPRK's lead and just go full on intranet.

Oddly enough the UK pretty much has the infrastructure, and a lot of the laws, in place to do similar. Considering our current prime minister's views on the evils of the internet we may end up with the same thing as NK or Iran.
North Korea is so obviously superior to every other civilization on Planet Earth that its enlightened citizens ... who are delighted with their lot and who fight to keep everyone else out of their little peninsula Nirvana ... need nothing more.
