I still need windows for games, Adobe CS Suite, Poser, Newsbin, Thumbs Plus, Bryce, 3D Studio Max, and itunes.
itunes I would have no problems dumping with something that would work with my ipod in Linux, I hate itunes. As for the rest, no decent equivilent in Linux with the exception of GIMP but I'll still take Photoshop any day.
I use Windows for playing Quake 3 (even though I could run that on Linux) and other games that won't run on Linux. That's about it really. I can do pretty much everything else I need to on Linux.

---Solved. It was not debian fault, neither lexmark fault; but mine. Configured correctly under CUPS, Lexmark Z11 runs smoothly now under Debian GNU Linux.

My printer!!! I can't print with my lexmark x75 in linux . . . and my mom is bugging me entirely about making business cards for her new business *sighs and reboots into the winblowz install cd*
On my computer right now, I only have Windows 2000 installed. I'm planning to install Mandriva or Ubuntu, and have it duel booting with windows 2000.
I'll still need windows to run Midisoft Studio 4.0, and some other music related programs. The last time I tried Mandriva (a few months ago, with my old computer) Rosegarden wouldn't make any sound, no matter what I did. So I'll need to keep windows for composing music.
Also, I play some games, so I need windows for that too. Linux is great for everything else.
my ipod shuffle ( ive had bad experience on linux )
aim ( direct connect does not work for me in gaim )
day of defeat
photoshop
hmm yea i think thats it
