U.S. & NATO Ramping Up W-A-R & Provoking Russia

"Russia says it views the arrival of more than 3,000 US soldiers in Poland as a threat to its own security.

The troops are part of President Barack Obama's response to reassure Nato allies concerned about a more aggressive Russia. "

How to get rid of Unwanted Launcher from National Weather Service

Hi,
I'm running Ubuntu 14.04.

Recently a new launcher showed up at the very bottom of my screen. Apparently this is put out by the National Weather Service.

Two options:
1. Launch
2. Properties

Clicking on "delete" won't get rid of it.

I don't know how I got this thing and I can't find out how to get rid of it.

If you click on "Launch" the page title of the Page is "NWS Public Alerts in XML/CAP and ATOM".
If you click on "Properties" you get the dialog box shown in the attachment.

I would really appreciate help in getting rid of this thing.

Thanks,

R

It is another conspiracy about the Petro-Dollar - then again, it is not far-fetched claim.

America has always spent trillions of dollars on military adventures "around the world, all the time."

"Ike Was Right.™"

However, Eastern Europe is perfectly aware that Obama has five more days in power. Anyone can see that he is pissing in the pool of his successor. But no one in the world really needs to do anything for a week . . . let alone start a world war.

That is why I applaud Putin in all this. He has done nothing, and is just waiting it out; but again Trump has to face down the NSA and CIA who most likely are controlled by hawks, and want to stop at nothing for any sort of detente with Russia.

Yes, Ike was correct and Jimmy Dore and others are merely echoing it. It sucks though, because even if we are all aware they(intelligence community & co) have a high probability of still getting their way and we will see further slide into madness. I would not be surprised that they would stop at nothing, and probably find a way of stopping Trump. If the scandals, blackmail etc does not work it is likely they might resort to more, 'extreme' measures...

Remember: "it's all about the money."

As "Ike" Eisenhower foresaw, "War is Money, as long as it never stops." This is especially true in the USA. "Ike" saw it coming and described it exactly, but nobody listened. "##CLASSIFIED##ions of Dollars™" were to be made by manufacturing "all those atomic bombs, and so on." Political power within the House and Senate (especially the Senate) is very much determined by how well you feed the War Machine.

Other countries, especially Russia, now know that "NATO is basically dead," having out-lived its usefulness. But the American Military Machine loves it because it gives them an excuse to "intervene everywhere all the time."

The "War on Terror™" program is a prime example. When the attacks happened, the PATRIOT Act (thousands of pages of text) had already been written, and the "enemy" had already been picked out. Never mind that "unconventional warfare stymies any sort of conventional response." Richard Cheney & Company want an oil pipeline to bypass Russian control of the Caspian Sea, and, make no mistake, they are still in power and they still want it. Fifteen years of bloody war were conducted in its name, and they simply omitted all mention of it from the American press. (The Soviet propaganda ministry would be proud, although they would say that we have no finesse.)

It is very gradual and in incriments; that is how they try to succeed.

Right, and everything is overpriced as well, i.e. fighter jets, weapons, etc. All mentions of our military excursions are spun, and yes anyone who disagrees, offers a different view - and even presents lucid well thought out arguments with evidence to back are branded as either unpatriotic, or a conspiracy buff. I actually disagree on one thing, we have surpassed the Soviets and I think even Goebbels would be in awe - I don't think it can be finessed any further than it already is.

Outright dictatorships such as the National Socialists, or the Soviets are rather overt/upfront - whereas now, you have government collusion or corporate infiltration of government - which is a lot more insidious, much more subtle and potentially harder for an average person to spot - therefore people are implicitly and gradually going along - instead of just outright coercion - there is your finesse right there - and both Nazis and Soviets would only dream of and never have achieved.
