Criterion has just released the first good rendition of Welles's 'Chimes at Midnight'. 'The Other side of the Wind' has never been released, but somebody's working on it: you can keep an eye out for it.

I don't think I've mentioned Maidentrip -- it's basically a "vlog" of Laura Dekker travelling around the world.
I think it popped up in my Netflix recommendations because I liked Long Way Round or Long Way Down and, while sailing's not something I'd usually think about, it definately has a sense of adventure.

nothing wrong with the achievement itself, only with the "documentary".
I wouldn't describe a skinny 14-15 year old girl as "well-proportioned blonde teenager female". No doubt that may cross some people's minds but I know I didn't watch Long Way Round to get a glimpse of Ewan McGregor's bum and I'm not sure many others did either.
The documentary is almost all made from footage she took herself and some of the footage where she's jut out in the middle of an almost perfectly still ocean with no land on any horizon are just amazing. Seeing the Panama Canal, albeit briefly, from the perspective of a small boat is pretty cool too. I actually started looking into container ship travel after watching it as I've never been on the open ocean and it looks other-worldly to me.
^ fair enough, that sounds interesting.
it just annoys the crap out of me that it's always so much easier to publish something when you have a beautiful girl to put out front.
it damages our society.
look at advertisements - there's always more females than males, and they're almost always beautiful, young girls. and i consciously choose the ambiguous "girls", which can refer to anything from 3 years old to 30. oh yes, that's how it is.
i found this invaluable resource: http://timbarron.net/entertainment/b...ime-mysteries/
i especially like how each item contains a review which is not trying to be objective (while always remaining polite & respectful).
thank you tim barron, whoever you are!
