installing from DVD over LAN network

I have a Debian installer (on DVD) and I want to install it on a computer that doesn't have a DVD ROM. I connected the computer to another computer that has a DVD ROM over a LAN network, but I don't know how to install it in this way. Does anyone know how to install Debian from a remote computer on a LAN network?

Do you have access to the internet over this LAN? If so, it's probably easier to download a netboot CD iso (around 140MB) and then install via the CD drive on the computer. Then you can just apt-get your way to anything else you desire.

Otherwise, you can do it, but it's a bit more hassle. You have to setup a TFTP server on another machine and then PXE boot to it. http://www.debian.org/releases/stabl...l.en#boot-tftp
