lan network config? were is it?

hi yall

i've got 3 pc's. 2 running win xp, one linux mandrake 8.2 all connected too a router/adsl modem (all in one)
linux is fine, i mean internet works on that machine and on my other 2 machines too..but..
i can't acces my linux machine from the windows machines, and the other way arround.
Were is this config 'hidden' and what should be the settings for full acces between all machines?
Is it possible to acces a computer with another os?
(by the way: the lan connection between the 2 win xp machines is fine..)
thnx for your help...
