Debian Ditches DNS settings

OK, just setup using the pared down disc, couldnt connect to the internet using 192.168.1.1 on the router, so input advised ip addresses for the ISP.
worked a treat, but as soon as i close the browser down, or restart, or restart the NIC it ditches the DNS addresses and leaves the connection down.
is there a flat file where i can hard code the ip addresses so it saves?
thanks!

This is the contents of my /etc/network/interfaces file:
Code:
# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).

# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The primary network interface
allow-hotplug eth1
iface eth1 inet dhcp

auto eth1
Adjust the eth1 entry to suit your config. Enter your DNS nameservers in /etc/resolv.conf This is mine:
Code:
nameserver 194.109.104.104
nameserver 194.109.6.66
