Emacs 23.2 -- A quick review...

Earlier this week, the GNU folks released Emacs 23.2. I downloaded it and compiled it on my Slackware64_13 computer to see if I like it.

The short answer is that I like it. Emacs 23.1 had a bug with the tmm-menubar (text mode menu bar) that drove me crazy enough to downgrade again to Emacs 22.3. That bug has been fixed in 23.2 and the overall experience is pretty darned good.

Portal, Steam and OS X: A Mini Review

System Setup
Mac Mini
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHZ
2GB of Ram (256MB of which is shared with the graphics Device)
160GB HDD
GeForce 9400M
Snow Leopard (updated to 10.6.3)

Performance
I am going to get this out of the way first. Yes, the game doesn't perform as well as I would have liked. But that's mostly the fault of the system I chose (9400M is not the greatest GPU out there). And some of the fault, at least according to what I read...
