It seems that your AIX drivers don't like your LCD display. You probably need to add some drivers or some ptf's in order to bring that stuff at work, unfortunately I cannot help you more thant that.
thx for the feedback. I tried googling for my graphics card and available drivers, no luck - seems like this has to be possible. 15in crt works with 1024x768 but 15" lcd does not.
Any other thoughts fellas - dont want to use that big crt, im confined to small space for this workstation/server -
Take a look at the HorizSync and VertRefresh settings in the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf. If these settings are outside what the lcd is capable of it won't show you anything. Change these two lines in xorg.conf to reflect the display's capabilities.
