Screen goes blank once i login to a MythBuntu session

Hi,

Here is what i have done so far:

1. Installed clean Ubuntu 8.04
2. Enabled NVidia propriety drivers.
3. Used Synaptic Package Manager to install mythbunut-desktop. Some dependencies were automatically installed as well.

Now when i login to a MythBuntu session, the screen immediately blanks out and only the mouse cursor is visible.

Could someone please help we with this?

After logging into MythBuntu (yes, it'll blank), press Ctrl-Alt-F1. Login again and run "cat .xsession-errors". What do you see?

To return to the web-browser (so you can copy it), press Ctrl-Alt-F7 (it'll return to the blank), and type Ctrl-Alt-Backspace.
