Help With Modem

I am tryna install the Huawei ETS2077 Modem

I get error :

Ti_usb_3410_5052 1-1:1.0: TI USB 3410 1 port adapter detected converter
Ti_usb_3410_5052: probe of 1-1:1.0 failed with error -5

when i do dmesg -c
This means that the modem was not recognized and therefore has not been installed. So you need to fix this, to get, create file 026_ti_usb_3410.rules

I was told to type the following in the file:

# TI USB 3410

SUBSYSTEM == "usb_device" ACTION == "add" SYSFS (idVendor) == "0451", SYSFS (idProduct) == "3410" \

BNumConfigurations SYSFS () == "2" \

BConfigurationValue SYSFS () == "1" \

RUN + = "/ bin / sh-c 'echo 2> / sys% w / device / bConfigurationValue"

But now its still not working same error...What to do?

I hope you wrote all of this in one line without the backslashes (spaces instead).

Is the USB device number really 0451:3410? You can test this with the command lsusb.

RUN + = "/ bin / sh-c 'echo 2> / sys% w / device / bConfigurationValue"

looks very strange. Shouldn't it read:

RUN+="/bin/sh -c echo 2 >" ...

I do not understand the file name afterwards, but the spaces are too much. There must not be spaces within the path name.

cheers, Robert.
