I installed suse 9.2 fresh install formatted the hdd .previously i had suse 9.0 .It was working fine.Decided to upgrade. The graphical interface works fine but when I go into failsafe then it loads until this message comes up

a ReiserFS:hda2:checking transaction log (hda2)
and then it just sits there.I edited the /boot/grub/menu.lst file so as to make apic disabled.I donno what to do.If anyone has any answers please help.
