SunFire v440 HDD ok2rm led

Hi there,

Recently, i noticed that blue led of my v440 HDD3 is on. System is running, and there seems no problem. I read that blue light means OK to remove HDD. But i have no idea why it is on. Any suggestions? What can i do to turn off that blue light? or is there a problem that i can not notice?

Thx.

According to the documentation, the ok to remove light is on because the disk drive has been taken offline and it is safe to remove from the system.

Have you verified if the drive is offline? You may have a degraded mirror and you may not know it.

I forgot, have you tried the following:

showenvironment | grep HDD

That should tell you the status of the drives and the status of the ok2rm light.

I called SUN service provider to replace the drive. I think drive is gone somehow. Thanks again apt-get-dude
