wireless connection problem

I've installed 13.37 on a laptop I have; no problems, except
getting a wireless connection. The network controller is an
Intel Corp. PRO/Wireless 2200BG (Calexico2). I read the Slack
book, and tried to configure it. I've fiddled with a lot
of the settings; for a while, I thought the card's kernel
module might not be loaded. I still am not exactly sure,
although some of the output I'll show indicates it's probably
loaded properly.

Sorry for all the output. I had the essid set, but I don't see it now.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

I just came out of a similar problem, my wireless was being noticed under wlan1 & eth1 instead of eth0, here is the link of my thread
