Hello, I Just Downloaded linux and tried it out I liked it so I made a full install on my laptop.Now I know windows inside and out but Linux I am new at. So bassicly if you tell me something to do pls explain.

Now my problem I have a Rail link Wifi/BT card Rt2500 it connects to my network but now I am at my ants house and tried to connect to her network which is encrypted(i got the key) it connects but does not assine me an IP, when I try to do a static IP is works but i got no internet still.

I do not know what to do....

try assigning a default gateway with a command: route add default gw (ip address of gateway) eg: route add default gw 192.168.1.1
