I have configured my rc.inet1.conf and rc.wireless.conf files and seems my wireless card is already connected to my access point :

output :

iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"hackme" Nickname:"home"

But when plug out my UTP cable from non wireless card and want to ping my router i have no reply, i have switched of all encriptions and keys, still nothing. I have tried the same in windows with same configuration of wireless card and everything works. I still cant understand why not in linux.

do you use dhcp or static addresses? It looks like you are connected. Can you try shutting down eth0 and restarting wlan0? I have a bcm4306 in my ibook and it does the same thing I couldn't get the wireless to work while eth0 was up even though it looked connected, so I don't start either at boot then when I need it I start the one I'm going to use. I'm sure there is a way to fix this but I never needed both at the same time.

For a wireless router i have static ip and for my laptop's wireless card i have faked static ip, i already tried to do :
ifconfig eth0 down and ifcofnig wlan0 up still no results. I do not need them at the same time both just need now to make wireless able to work!

HMZ

When i do ifconfig eth0 down then ifconfig:

ifconfig eth0 down
root@home:/etc/rc.d# ifconfig
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:54 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:54 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:5930 (5.7 KiB) TX bytes:5930 (5.7 KiB)

wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:14:A5:E5:33:42
inet addr:193.168.1.11 Bcast:193.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:2724 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:512 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:1926651 (1.8 MiB) TX bytes:100555 (98.1 KiB)
Interrupt:10 Memory:c4000000-c4004000

And then when i do iwconfig :

iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSIDff/any Nickname:"home"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated
Bit Rate=54 Mb/s Tx-Power:32 dBm

Encryption keyff
Power Managementff
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

Ok guys i figured out so in your rc.wireless.conf file before any configuration add line "HWADDR=and here type in your wireless card mac addresse" and unerline everything you need to configure for this card and then run ./rc.inet1 start from your /etc/rc.d/ directory if in slack.
