Just found this image on the "front page" of this morning's Wall Street Journal. https://www.wsj.com/
The story, https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-norwa...=hp_lista_pos1
The full story is behind a pay wall. Sorry. You might the full version via another news source that links to the original.
The image.
But that image is absolutely stunning. They have a love of red wooden houses in Scandinavia, I have no idea why. They're everywhere.
Norway is indeed a very beautiful country. If you are in Bergen, don't forget to visit Preikestolen, it is a must!
I am curious does still people in Norway hunting whales? Because I can buy in my drug store food supplement made from whales. I suspect that Norway government subsidies whale hunters from money obtained by selling gas. It should be definitely forbidden once for all time. I mean whale hunting. I am posting because for Platon beauty also means goodness. So doing bad things one cannot be beautiful. And nice pictures can't change that.

The red wooden houses started back in 1500 century. Red colored houses symbolized wealth (the Swedish king introduced it by applying red color on roof), and the color itself were made by pigments from "Falu koppargruva", at the time, the worlds biggest copper mine.

As it is Autumn, here is one is entitled, "High Sierra".
If I had to guess, I would say it was taken in the northeastern area of Yosemite National Park, in California.

Yes, Norway and Iceland still hunt whales, in fact Norway just raised its annual whaling quota. I have been anti-whaling since I was a child, and still contribute to whale and dolphin conservation every month [it's part of a voluntary system run by my company].

Fascinating, thank you.

Showing a Conky I created that will run on a rpi4 with Slackware. It will use an external LCD from an old laptop with 1440x900 resolution which will run vertically (900x1440).
The original purpose of Conkyn was to read the weather at 3-hour intervals, but it all developed further with;
clock
date
namesday
Lunch at work
image that is updated every 5 minutes that is randomly picked from a directory of images
message
temperature and disk space on rpi4
No hardware yet, but at least the Conky is almost complete, hardcoded for 900x1440 resolution. Only lua was used to create this Conky.
