Slackware 10 Athlon SMP problem Tyan Mobo
I have a dual Athlon 2400+ MP processor system running on a Tyan Thunder K7 (S2462) Motherboard and currently Linux is not recognizing both processors... the system boots up fine and the BIOS recognizes both of them but when I do a "cat /proc/cpuinfo" I only recieve infor about 1 CPU.
I followed the SMP how to and still no luck. After recompiling a new kernel (though doesn't the bare.i kernel support SMP?) and everything else in the how to I have had basically no luck getting it to recognize the processor.
Oddly enough in the BIOS the system is reporting the vcore of the first processor as 0 volts...... This makes no sense as that is the processor I am running on right now.... ?? heh I hope its not a hardware issue.
As I said tho the BIOS is recognizing both CPU's on boot anyone got any suggestions?
