Mobo for Athlon X2 dual core ?

Hi all,

I'd like to get an Ahtlon X2 dual core for a new machine.

Any mobo suggestions ?

The X2 is said to be backward compatible, but I'd like to get a mobo that specifically stipulates that the X2 is supported. If look at the specs of some Asus and MSI but didn't find any bearing such mention. Are there any out there ?

Your thoughts on getting a X2 processor ?

Cheers,

Al

Well as you said any 939 mobo should work but I guess any NForce 4 one would be designed more with the X2 in considereation.

ABIT AN8 Ultra looks like a good one because there is no active heatsink for the chipset like the rest of the motherboards. AN8 Ultra uses heatpipe technology to get rid of the heat from the chipset which will be reliable for a very long time.
