installing opera dep errors


i am just moving from mandrake to slackware, and im trying to install opera. i get this error when i try the rpm package

error: failed dependencies:

and if i try rpm -ihv opera.. --nodeps i get this

Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
Segmentation fault



any help?

I would look at the dependicies it says it needs and see if you have them.

rpm -qa | grep -i libc

things like that...

im a little new to linux, and wouldnt really know if i had them or not... all i know is that i have a full install of slackware, but when i type that command, nothing shows up....

You can download the shared Mandrake .tar.gz from opera.com, that will work with Slack 9.1 and means no rpm is required.
