dep probs installing VLC video player on RH9

I am trying to install the VLC video player on RedHat 9
I downloaded the rpm and required updates from the
VLC website:

these are the errors
warning: vlc/a52dec-0.7.4-5.fr.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e42d547b
error: Failed dependencies:
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3.4) is needed by mozilla-1.6-2
libXinerama.so.1 is needed by vlc-0.7.1-2
libasound.so.2 is needed by vlc-0.7.1-2

i have libc-2.3.2.so in /lib
i have libXinema.a in /usr/X11R6/lib , but no .so.1
i cant find libasound anywhere on the system

can someone help me figure out which packages I need
to install?
also, if I install a new GLIBC, will I break anything else?
thanks,
Gary

just go to a site like rpmfind.net and search for the file names, it should return the containing packages just fine.
