Unhappy Firefox 2 no sound

Since i have installed Firefox 2 and installed flash player 7 i can watch animation in flash, but can't hear any sound...
In 1.5 version of Firefox this wasn't problem, and even in konqueror too. I can listen sound in konqueror, but it is annoying always switching to konqueror every time I need to hear some sounds....
I have found some similar problems on forum but couldn't find solution...

PLEASE HELP

try running firefox from a terminal and see if it dumps some error when you try accessing sound

OK, I've been away from Linux for a while and I'm still trying to catch up myself, but I found this when I was looking for an answer to the same problem...In other words, I don't know why it works, it just does. I hope it works for you...

Edit the command that is run when you click on the Firefox icon to run "aoss firefox %u" instead of just "firefox %u".

Regards,
Mike

I got the same issue when I upgraded with Slackware 11.0 and Firefox 2.0.

I added my user to group "audio" and then it worked. Edit file /etc/group as root and add your user at the end of the line containing "audio".

After add your user to group "audio", close your session and log again. Let us know if it solves your problem.
