CD writing errors... it used to work fine.

I'm trying to burn a set of CDs... I got through the first 3 without problems, but now my SCSI bus keeps resetting in the middle. Here is my cdrecord output.

What would be causing this? It happens at different spots each time. Sometimes at the beginning, sometimes near the end. I've tried burning at a slower speed, and that hasn't helped. I tried swapping drives.

What's going on?

I'd like to know too. I was able to burn 2 cds in Mandrake 8.2 and on the 3rd it produced a coaster like this. The same thing happened when I tried another cd. I'm using an LSI dual channel SCSI 2 card and an HP 9200i cd-rw. I've got Slackware 8.0 on right now (had it on for a few days) and I haven't tried burning a cd yet.

I swapped in a new SCSI card (which a friend had) and a new burner, and all worked fine. So, I'm not sure which was causing the problems.

I've been switching back to the old SCSI card (because I needed it's bootable-CD capabilities), and it's been fine reading loads of data from it. I'll try burning with it again, and see what happens.

If I still get problems I'm going to change back to my Initio card. I'll reply to this once I get some cds and do a burn...
