Unhappy input/output dev/hda error


Hi everyone I hope somone can help. Here is my question: my Husband is trying to put redhat 9 on my computer, He has it on 3 disks. We start the installation, and when it gets to where you put your mouse type in, He does that, and then this error comes up that says, input/output dev/hda error, what does this mean and how do We fix it? thank You

quite possibly bad sectors on the drive maybe?

Thank You PhD for Your response. My Husband figured that might be the problem, so I guess we're going to have to get a new drive. My computers ancient anyways... lol Thanks again
