Dell X200 True Mobile 1150 Redhat 9 wireless problems

Hi,

i am sorry if my question was already discussed, i did a search but could not find an answer.

I have a dell X200 notebook with true mobile 1150 (which works fine with Windows XP) I installed redhat 9 ( retail version not downloaded) and i am having difficulty getting the wireless connection working. where do i start first. i looked at dmesg and lspci as well as the system messages but unable to see any messages related to the mini PCI card or the orinoco_cs module.
i am not sure if my card is detected or not by the kernel.

Please help me....

Thanks in advance
naveen

try
cardctl ident
to get the info on the card.

It should use orinoco driver for hermes chipset.

hello,
this is what i got when i typed cardctl ident
Socket 0:
no product info available
Socket 1:
no product info available

so does this means that kernel is not recognizing the card? drivers not loaded?
what should be the next step?

thank you very much beyer42.

regards
naveen
