Problem with UT and Resolution


when i start the game :

[root@localhost root]:/usr/share/wine-c/Unreal/System/UnrealTorunament.exe

it starts with an very small resolution and i cant play the game (a black screen with sound) and i dont know where i can change the starting resolution for UT

you can edit ~/.loki/ut/System/UnrealTournament.ini,
and replace all instances of:

FullscreenViewportX= 640
FullscreenViewportY=480

with

FullscreenViewportX=1024
FullscreenViewportY=768

if i do like that then i only get a Black Screen and nothing else :/

Why are you using WINE. UT has a LINUX native patch. Look at lokigames.com .

Sounds like you dont have the modeline set correctly. Add a modeline in XF86Config. In UT you can set the resolution in the preferences menu.

omg i cant change because I GET A BLACK SCREEN and only restart helps

egh... that was a silly suggestion of mine.
sorry. you have to make sure the resolution
you replace 640x480 with, is one of the
resolutions in your XF86Config.
