I downloaded and installed with the GUI and works fine.I tried watching some videos on a cd and I got a error message about opening and had to right click and tell it to open using gmplayer. What I want to know is what file can I edit or what would I do so that I can just click a file and have it open in mplayer.I want it so message box about being carefull about opening stops coming up and not have to tell it to open with mplayer.

What file manager are you using? This is a file association issue and depends on the fm/de. However, there is usually a 'properties' option on most fm manager's right-click menu when you click on a file of the type you wish to associate, which usually goes to a tab or dialog for setting up the association.
