I looked (quite a bit) and I'm sure this topic has been approached before. In YOUR OPINION, what method is best when running LinuxMint from a pendrive. This is only opinion, for I've exhausted the net in search of a "definitive" answer and must say. well...you find what you want...meaning...if you think one method is better than the other, you'll find loads of info on that side of the debate! So, I must say, it boiled down to opinion and all I ask is what your reason(s) are for using the method you do. NO DEBATES/ARGUING..Please.
Can update and install programs fully and correctly.
Can run slower than live.
Cam be hard to install.
Needs fast drive usually.
Some bios issues maybe.
Live install features.
Can't update correctly.
In some cases can seem to run faster due to compressed image.
Usually easy to install.
Can use slow drive.
Still some bios issues.
...and again, and again, and again......going on for years now.
OP, you have had this question answered MANY times, and folks have given you not only opinions (which you then say you don't want), and facts (where you then say you're asking for opinions), and you seem to ignore them all. Go back to any of the **MANY** threads you've already opened and 'solved' about running from a pendrive, and re-read them. Not much new to add.
RE: ondoho;
Yup, and as before, you've posted nothing of relevance.
Re: TBOne;
Self-proclaimed LQ GURU...this site is for those who wish to help. Something you've never accomplished. And going "back", that question(s) was about persistence issues. "Not much new to add", and as usual you've done nothing to "add"...just you're usual carping. Get a life!
First, the "LQ Guru" title is automatically added once a certain number of posts is reached; it can be changed, but I never bothered, as it only ever seems to annoy people such as yourself. And pretending to split hairs about your previous threads being about persistence, while **THIS** is a totally new topic may be something you believe, but I at least don't. Same thing; running Mint from a USB stick...same exact thing you've been ostensibly doing for five years now.
Secondly, people have TRIED to help you many, MANY times in the past, and you either don't understand what you're getting told, or won't take the advice offered; neither is anything that anyone here can help with. In this thread, you start out by saying you "looked (quite a bit)"...odd that you didn't find all your previous threads about this:
Same abusive junk too; according to many of your other threads, you've been doing this exact same thing for FIVE YEARS now. Same story that always repeats:
"Want to run Mint/whatver-Linux from a thumb drive, what's the best way??"
::Answers are given, usually with caution about it not being a great thing to do::
"Doesn't work"
::Asked what's going on::
"You're no help! <Insert name calling here>"
::You are given a link by someone that you've been given approximately 117 times in the past::
"Wow, it's working great! Marking solved"
..until you come back in a few months to repeat the cycle. And here we are again.
Actually I remember having the same discussion with this user not only here, repeatedly, but also on linuxforums.org, years ago, about the same topic (running Linux from USB and all possibe permutations thereof).
Makes me think that this is not intentional trolling but rather a very sad individual with limited mental capabilities, struggling with a real or at least perceived problem that they find themselves unable to solve - and then getting angry in the process, every time... for years and years... maybe some sort of amnesia is also involved?
Indeed, and this has been pointed out numerous times to the OP in the past, along with a myriad of various methods for doing so.
I put the OP's username into Google out of morbid curiosity, and it looks like they've joined a number of forums. And yes, asking the same kind of questions too.
I can understand if it's something still quite new to them, but in this case I tend to agree with ondoho in post #8. Surely in this case it would be reasonable to assume they must be closer to being enlightened by now.
But, the fact some continue to post the same answers anyway, despite all of the answers in their other threads anyway when nothing new is being added is also pretty sad. It also only encourages the OP to continue asking the same questions over and over again. This link gives the sort of response that's missing here at this forum.
Don't know what your attempting. You saying there's something wrong with posting to different forums? You obviously didn't check to see what questions I've asked. Personally, I find "stalking" someone around the net rather disturbing...you and TBOne(head) have serious psychological imbalances! Really, NO ONE cares what you think about my pursuit of information. Seems many have replied without deeming it relevant how many places I've inquired. And, if you should really need something pertinent to do, check out ALL the dialog throughout the net pertaining to "live" and install on a pendrive....perhaps then YOU'LL become enlightened...but I won't bother checking back here to see if you have. As with TBOne(head) you've offered nothing of relevance. IF you knew anything about this subject(?), I'd think you'd offer to help...but since you didn't it leaves one to surmise your just as incompetent as [removed].

At this point, despite having been told dozens of times about your situation, there's nothing more to say. You either can't understand what you're told, or have other issues that a tech forum can't solve, which seems likely.
I quote: "there's nothing more to say" Gawd, how I wish you'd adhere to that! Your not impressing anyone here. You've offered NOTHING (as always) of relevance. Posting places that I've posted only shows what a demented little child and sick individual you are. And yet, your proud of the fact that your demented.(??) Sick, just plain sick!!! NOBODY here, and maybe anywhere else, listens to you for you are irrelevant.
