grub problem

hello everyone, I have a dual boot with redhat 9 and windows xp and i would like to reinstall my windows because I'm having some problems with it.

I know that if I reinstall my windows it will overwrite my bios configuration and grub will not be able to work, when i had Mandrake i solved that problem by typing /sbin/lilo but now I'm runnig redhat

my question is will it work if i type /sbin/grub ?

thanks a lot
