disable vsftpd (or any) service on start up

How would a person disable a service on start up on a Red Hat box? Specifically, the vsftpd service on a RHE box. Thanks!

chkconfig vsftpd off
to disable it at boot.
service vsftpd stop
to stop it if it's currently running
