Mysql and odbc

Hello!

My client's software connects to various databases through odbc and I need to set up my Mysql databases to work with odbc to enable my client to access my database.

I am new to odbc and am wondering if anyone has any leads or ideas to help me set up the mysql database to work with an odbc application.

I don't know all that much about odbcs but I imagine the basic setup is as follows:

Mysql <-> Mysql odbc driver <-> odbc server <-> listen on specified port for requests from remote systems

Thanks for any help!
Murdock

Hi,

The mysql-odbc driver is libmyodbc.

You can read about installation/setup at MySQL ODBC connector docs
